Admission requirements
To be admitted for a Diploma in Medical engineering, you need a KCSE mean grade of C minus. There are no subject requirements for the course in polytechnics and vocational colleges.
However, if you would prefer to enrol for the course at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), You will be required to have a mean grade of C plain in KCSE with C plain in English/Kiswahili, C plain in Mathematics/Physics, and C minus in either Chemistry, biology, metal work, electricity, or technical drawing.
Other acceptable requirements include a certificate in medical engineering or related courses.

Application
You can apply for a diploma in medical engineering through the KUCCPS portal or by submitting your application through the admission office of your preferred institution.
Course Application
You can apply for the course through the KUCCPS portal the application. Successful Applications submitted through KUCCPS guarantee government education funding and HELB. We will notify you when the portal opens for applications.
Note: KMTC applications for the March 2025 intake closed on 14th February 2025.
Successful applications submitted to private institutions are not eligible for government education funding.
